Job Description:
This position will report directly to the Associate Manager of Facilities, under general supervision of the Facilities Manager. This position would be 2nd shift, 2:30 pm to 12:00 a.m. on the 9/80 standard schedule
The Facility Technician (Electrician) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities, and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance
Essential Functions:
+ 70% - Electrical Maintenance - Work with, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
+ 20% - Installation of new equipment and electrical infrastructure (such as upgrade electrical panels, transformers, generators, etc.)
+ 10% - 6S general shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing
Qualifications:
+ Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant electrical experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related electrical experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Virginia Electrician Journeyman, Master or Contractor License a plus
+ Strong electrical experience / training in repairs in an industrial setting
+ Generally second shift but be available to work any shift, weekends, holidays and be on call as required
+ Proficient computer skills (such as MS Word and Excel, including use of formulas) strongly desired
