Opportunity Overview:

 

The Teradyne Factory Applications team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, driven Factory Application Engineer who will work collaboratively with the team as well as unsupervised to develop applications solutions, support the field team, and work with engineering and marketing to drive customer requirements.

 

Factory Applications Engineers will have the opportunity to experience a range of activities. These include:

Develop test techniques focused on Power discrete and Linear products

Work with the Field teams to review applications for critical design parameters including trace routing, component selection and a deep understanding of test techniques.

Develop new test techniques using C/C++ and application board design to address new or enhanced customer requirements

Work with the field teams to address customer support issues on complex problems.

Develop strong working relationships with the field teams, marketing, and engineering groups

Work with marketing and sales to pursue new opportunities and provide technical input.

Strong, hands on hardware experience using lab equipment, such as: Digital multimeter, High Speed Oscilloscopes and Waveform generators.

Strong programming experience in C, C++.

Strong reasoning skills and practical problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Windows and Excel.

Must have excellent communications skills, Verbal, presentation and documentation.

Must have ability to work both within a team and single-handedly as well.

Must be able to travel up to 20% or greater.

Experience with ATE equipment particularly Eagle test systems is highly desired.

Experience in Discrete, High Power modules, or Linear devices is highly desired.

High power AC testing experience is a plus.

BS degree or equivalent in either Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
