Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations, the Factory Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation in a portion of the Hunt Valley, MD production factory.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead the assembly team, with resolving the most complex issues involving the manufacturing processProvide leadership to ensure safe work areas, environments, practices, and behaviorsManage product through all stages of assembly and test, through delivery to customerManage resources to optimize productivity and cost effectivenessEnsure compliance and execution associated with the Quality Management SystemsPlans, organizes and assigns the workflow of the team and ensures that safety and quality standards are met and production schedules are achieved following Manufacturing / Quality established methodsRepresents assigned factory areas at program operations meetingsInstructs assigned personnel on processes, policies and procedures and coordinates with staff and designated support groups to resolve problemsPlans, organizes, and makes work assignments consistent with job classifications and employee abilityResponsible for staffing of department to meet program needs, and the assessment and development of skills and certifications to meet demand requirementsInteracts with other Managers and Planners to support program prioritiesRecommends and justifies capital equipment and tooling expenses required to meet departmental and program needsPerforms administrative tasks including writing employee performance evaluations, analyzing training needs, and monitoring standard work practices in production

This position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditionsThis position may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment if the employee is exposed to noise, dust, fumes orchemicals or any other situation that would require the use of Personal Protective Equipment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field preferredTypically requires 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing or equivalent education or experience to demonstrate the ability to successfully perform the job dutiesAction oriented and quickly resolving difficult problemsAble to creatively achieve mission objectives while maintain compliance and the highest standards of qualityAbility to analyze complex specifications, drawings, procedures, and schematics.Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. Experience in Oracle is desired.Able to work autonomously, with limited directionExcellent computer skills, especially with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel)Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills.Excellent organizational skillsStrong interpersonal skills
