**About the role**
As a Factory Material Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials through our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the supply of materials to meet production schedules and customer demands. Your expertise will help us maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
**Your responsibilities**
Lead accurate material planning and forecasting, integrating data on production schedules, inventory levels, and supplier lead times into actionable insights.
Collaborate closely with production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
Utilize material planning software and your judgment to continuously refine planning accuracy.
Evaluate and adjust material plans based on new information, providing clear and concise communication on the impacts to the business.
Challenge assumptions and influence other teams when necessary to ensure the best outcomes for our supply chain.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material planning and inventory management.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material planning efficiency and effectiveness.
**The experience we're looking for**
Driven by a passion for manufacturing and an understanding of complex supply chains.
Skilled in managing a diverse set of data and using it to make informed decisions.
Able to collaborate across functions and influence without authority.
Adept at forging strong relationships and building effective partnerships.
Strong analytical skills with experience in material planning and advanced data analysis.
Committed to continuous improvement and excellence in business processes.
SAP and RapidResponse (Kinaxis) knowledge is a plus.
