Internship Program Overview: Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary of Role: GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled and motivated Factory Automation Engineering interns to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory.
Essential Responsibilities include:
Research, create and develop modern reporting software to replace legacy dashboards.Data acquisition, manipulation and report generation (Power BI, Excel, SQL, Oracle similar DB languages)Candidate will be responsible for the entire development cycle, from conception to implementation.Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to massive amounts of data and information.Work-in and support a productive and innovative team with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams.This candidate will need to prove technical competencies in reports development using Power BI. Migrate all existing RBT QlikView reports into Power BI.Must have good knowledge of SQL.Good understanding of DB modelling.Dynamic, resourceful, self-starter with good analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills.Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.Required Qualifications:
Education – Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or related field.Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, etc.) and Linux shell scripts.Experience with Power BI and SQL.Preferred Qualifications:
Prior related internship or co-op experienceProject management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong planning & organizational skillsExperience in computer science.Proficiency with data structures and system design.Knowledge of Unix/Linux and APIs#InternshipProgramUS
