The University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information seeks exceptional candidates for Part-Time Instructor positions. We are looking for candidates to facilitate online courses on data science topics including (but not limited to):

· Data-centric computing

· Math/Stats for Data Science

· Databases

· Predictive modeling

· Data visualization

· Bayesian Data analysis

· Deep learning

· Cloud computing

Each position is outside of the tenure stream and has a duration of one term.

Required Qualifications

· Hold an MS/PhD in Information Science/Computer Science/Data Science or related field by the start of the position.

· Academic or practical experience in one or more of the topics noted above

· Knowledge of, or experience in, teaching data science courses

· Proven track record of successful online/asynchronous teaching and course facilitation

Desired Qualifications

· Familiarity with the Coursera platform

· Familiarity with tools and techniques to encourage student engagement in online courses

· Experience in providing student academic support in the online environment
