CBT TEAM - Clinical Supervisor

The Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a part-time clinical supervisor within the Clinical Psychology Center. This position will serve for two terms, including Summer and Fall, with a start date of May 5, 2025. This position entails leading weekly 3-hour group supervision meetings with clinical psychology doctoral students who are providing individual psychotherapy to adults. Clinical supervisors provide teaching and supervision utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework during group supervision meetings, as well as additional consultation with students on an as-needed basis. Minimum qualifications include: having a PhD in Clinical Psychology, an active license to practice as a psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania, previous training and at least 8 years’ experience providing CBT treatment, and at least 3 years of experience providing clinical supervision and training. Specific training and the ability to teach/supervise students in evidence-based trauma-informed therapies, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), is also required.Candidates with a research background, those with training and experience treating diverse, minority, and/or underserved populations, and candidates who espouse a multicultural orientation to clinical practice are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Clinical Psychology Program endorses a clinical scientist training model, has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1948, is a charter member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science, and has been accredited by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS) since 2013.
