Faculty Open Rank (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor)- Biological Sciences **FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT** Announcing a tenure-track faculty position in the Hunter College Department of Biological Sciences. The individual will participate in teaching, research, and guidance duties in areas of biological science with a focus on biochemistry and cell signaling (especially as it relates to cancer biology). Additional duties include shared responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions. Successful candidates are expected to establish and/or sustain active, independent programs of extramurally funded research in biochemistry with an emphasis on cancer biology and/or studies of cancer-relevant signaling pathways in model organisms. This will build on existing strengths in the department. Teaching in these areas at the undergraduate, and graduate, levels is expected. . **QUALIFICATIONS** We are seeking a biochemist with experimental research focused on cancer biology. The successful candidate may be a senior scientist Professor/Associate Professor with a strong record of research and external funding, or an entry-level scientist of exceptional promise for appointment at the Assistant Professor level. The candidate must have a demonstrated commitment to experimental research and teaching. A Ph.D. in a biochemistry-related discipline, postdoctoral training, and publications in peer-reviewed journals are required for all entry levels. Teaching experience and a record of extramural funding and team management experience are required above the Assistant Professor level.
