**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College-CUNY invites applicants for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor positions. Duties include: Performs teaching, research, and guidance in the area(s) of expertise—Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments, including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
The Silberman School of Social Work (formerly Hunter College School of Social Work) has a national reputation as a leader in public urban education. Established in 1956, the School's mission is to prepare highly competent social work leaders to work in a variety of professional roles, settings, and communities in New York and other national urban centers to improve the lives of vulnerable and stigmatized people and the communities in which they live. The School is located in a state-of-the-art building in the historic and vibrant New York City neighborhood of East Harlem. Our curriculum, scholarship, and agency partnerships reflect a deep commitment to recruiting and educating a diverse student body and to innovations in social policy, practice, and research that value cultural complexity and social justice.
The School has 40 full-time faculty and approximately 1,400 MSW and BSW students.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
For Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor:
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent is required. Also required is the ability to teach successfully, demonstrate scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
Preferred qualifications include applicants who have an MSW degree, at least two years of practice experience, and a clear trajectory of research and scholarship. Applicants demonstrating success in agency and community partnerships that provide opportunities for research and scholarship are encouraged to apply. The following areas of scholarship are preferred but not required:
· Clinical Practice and Mental Health
· Social Welfare Policy
· Immigration and Global Social Work
· School-based Social Work
· Health and Disabilities
· Criminal Justice
**COMPENSATION**

Assistant Professor: $93,134 - $99,532
Associate Professor: $100,329 - $117,805
Full Professor: $111,560 - $141,858
