**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
The Department of Special Education in Hunter College’s School of Education is seeking candidates for a tenure track position in its new Pre-K to Grade 12 special education certification program effective late August 2025.
Duties associated with this position include: 1) engaging in research, scholarly writing and grant work, 2) teaching graduate courses in the program, 3) taking part in leadership opportunities within the program, 4) serving on program, department, school, college, and university committees when appropriate, and 5) student advisement.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in special education or a related field, be active in the profession, and possess a research agenda that addresses important questions regarding teaching, learning, and other issues related to the education of learners with special needs.A record of professional experience at multiple age/grade levels of schooling, proficient university teaching, supervisory experience, and competence in technology as an educational tool is valued.

**COMPENSATION**

Assistant Professor: $70,238-$99,532
Associate Professor: $90,375-$117,805
Full Professor: $111,560 - $141,858
