Employment Type: Permanent Faculty Vacancy ID: FAC0005339 Position Summary/Description: The School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a faculty position in School Counseling at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor, starting May 1, 2025. We seek candidates with professional experience in school counseling and a passion for training future counselors. This full-time 12-month position is for a two-year term with the potential for renewal for additional terms. Candidates will: a) teach graduate courses in the School Counseling program in face to face, online, and/or blended formats; b) contribute to the ongoing development of the school counseling program; and c) other service duties. This position will primarily teach courses, supervise student fieldwork, advise and mentor students, and provide other important teaching/mentoring-related activities. Specific courses may include: Practicum, Internship, Career Development/College Access, Test and Measurement, Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, or other courses in areas of expertise or as needed. This position has a standard distribution of effort that includes 70% teaching and instruction, 20% service, and 10% professional development, research, and/or other projects.
