Failure Analysis Engineer
Job Description

Do you thrive on turning technical insights into actionable solutions? We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Failure Analysis Engineer to join our Danfoss Turbocor® team in Nordborg.

In this role, you will analyze investigation results from physical product tests, ensuring that findings are thoroughly evaluated and effectively communicated in an Investigation Report to our front-end teams working directly with customers.

You will be part of a global team, with the main team and manager located in Tallahassee, USA, where you will collaborate both locally and globally with colleagues from Tallahassee to Haiyan in China.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing findings and create investigation reports, turning technical findings into actionable solutions, and driving improvements in the investigation process. Close collaboration with Investigators, Engineers, and Tech-Support will be key to ensuring accurate reports and exceptional quality outcomes.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Conducting detailed failure analysis of compressors and spare parts, using data mining from production data, historical 8Ds, CCARs, and design changes. Operating functional testers and analyzing compressor fault/event log data to identify failure patterns. Analyzing and presenting failure mode statistics to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts. Following quality policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, business goals, and environmental well-being. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring proper handling of shared tools and test equipment. Background & Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need a solid technical foundation and the ability to analyze complex data while working seamlessly across teams.

Key qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronic or Mechanical). Experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and working with functional testers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in analyzing fault/event log data. Familiarity with 8D Root Cause Analysis  Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).


Additionally, you are fluent in English with excellent communication, focused on continuous improvement.

Experience with Chiller Applications, Controls, and SQL databases, as well as a background in electronics or mechatronics, is advantageous.
