Failure Analysis Engineer
DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, is looking for a dynamic, results driven and inventive individual to join our team as a Failure Analysis Engineer. How you will make an impact:Systematically process, sort, and prioritize returned medical products for evaluationConduct detailed failure analysis of returned medical products and document findings, including reviewing and interpreting log data and physical evaluationAccurately report product investigations within a FDA-compliant Quality Management System following good documentation practicesConsolidate and analyze data from field investigations to identify potential trendsSupport implementation of product improvements based on findings to enhance product quality and patient quality of lifeActively participate in maintaining records on returned productsActively participate in maintaining returned material investigation proceduresMaintain an overall level of product quality in line with DEKA and regulatory standardsCollaborate with representatives from various engineering disciplines to determine root causeConfigure and operate computer based data acquisition equipmentTo be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and abilities:MS/BS in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred1+ years’ experience in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringHands on experience with electro-mechanical devicesProblem solving and troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and software description documentsPassion for biomedical technologies and problem solving using first principles thinkingExcellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed orientedCandidates should be prepared to give specific examples of hands-on academic projects and/or pertinent work experience.  Examples include group projects demonstrating leadership and/or collaboration, and situations of self-initiated learning and progression (both academic and non-academic)About DEKA:
