Objective: Plan, monitor, initiate, and perform (and document) tests (requalification tests) geared toward the needs of customers, production, and suppliers; and plan and perform system tests in connection with customer complaints
A Planning, managing, and initiating tests1 Clarify the testing requirements with Development/Production or if necessary with the customer/supplier in the form of defined project descriptions
2 Create or modify measurement and testing programs as well as test concepts (models, set-ups, simulations, test circuits) for components, assemblies, devices, and systems
3 Define trial and test arrangements as well as extensive tests and calculations for components, assemblies, devices, and systems; if necessary adjust the trial/test equipment as well as tests and calculations If necessary introduce tests at responsible locations
4 Initiate the preparation of test set-ups, models, and test circuits for components, assemblies, devices, and systems
5 Plan and perform system tests (hardware and software) in connection with customer complaints incl. documenting and applying quality methods to help determine the cause
6 Communicate the results and requirements as part of the complaints analysis with internal and external development partners
7 Monitor and track the adherence of testing activities to quality requirements and deadlines
8 Arrange or create the necessary type-testing documentation
9 Plan cost planning and cost monitoring incl. cost control for all tests in consultation with the relevant supervisor
B Performing and assisting with tests
1 Assist with the formulation of design-based and development-based solution proposals to reduce error deviations
2 Perform extensive tests and calculations for components, assemblies, devices, and systems
3 Investigate the suitability of materials and components taking into account existing and new technologies
4 Evaluate the test data and interpret the results in consultation with the relevant supervisor
5 Present the test results and advise the customer with regards to the potential for optimization; if necessary, agree on solution concepts for the investigated components, assemblies, devices, and systems
