Fall 2024 Acute Care LPN Residency Program

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of Northside Hospital. LPNs participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. LPNs work under the direction of the Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area.

REQUIRED 1. Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. 2. Must possess a verified nursing degree from an accredited School of Nursing within 120 days of the residency start date, and must and be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam or have already received a passing score. 3. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. 4. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia. 5. Must meet all Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) personnel qualifications and responsibilities requirements for individuals prior to directing and/or performing non-waived point of care testing as stated in 42 CFR, Part 493, Subpart M. PREFERRED 1. Previous experience in specialty area.
