Families First Support Worker - SYS-2751
The Social Services DirectorateChildrens Services are looking to recruit a multi skilled professional to work with families in need of support. You will deliver a comprehensive parenting support programme to meet individual needs and increase positive outcomes, undertake family assessments and chair meetings to develop Family Support Plans.You will be able to communicate effectively with children and young people, be flexible in your working hours to meet the needs of children and their families and undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade and role.The role requires a relevant Level 3 or above professional qualification in Social Care, and Level 1 & 2 in Safeguarding along with proven experience of working with children in a community setting.Experience of working with other agencies, undertaking assessments and delivering interventions, with a good understanding of child development and sound working knowledge of legislation, guidance and standards related to childrens support services is essential.Access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process.
