Summary :UNIT DETAILS (Labor & Delivery - Neenah Hospital):

This is the high risk birth center for the ThedaCare system because Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has a level 3 NICU within our hospital. The unit provides level 2 obstetric care and level 1 nursery care. ThedaCare Neenah averages about 1500 deliveries/year. The unit has 17 LDRP rooms and 11 antepartum/postpartum rooms.

Job Description:SCHEDULE:

Rotating 12 hour shifts (days/nights: 5:30a-6p / 5:30p-6a)

Every 4th weekend is required to work (Fri-Sun)

Rotating holiday schedule required

The Registered Nurse provides patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. Contributes to the goals of the department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy. Through collaborative practice with members of the care team, is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by ThedaCare. Furthers the professional practice of nursing at ThedaCare by promoting a culture of innovation and a commitment to growth and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current Wisconsin RN Licensure

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR Associates Degree in Nursing with an agreement to obtain the BSN within five years.

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of Fifty (50) pounds without assistance

Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform patient care procedures
