Position Overview:
The Family Engagement Manager will play a crucial part in ensuring the well-being and successful integration of families into the community. The Family Engagement Manager will work closely with families, offering guidance, resources, and emotional support to facilitate their journey towards stability. The Family Engagement Manager will provide relocation and resource workshops as well as support services including activities using trusted partners with a mission-driven commitment to immigrants, refugees and other vulnerable populations. The Family Engagement Manager will need to be available in the afternoon to early evenings and alternate Saturdays in order to meet the needs of families. Will be available for meetings and commit to working in a team environment.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum of Master’s degree in social work, criminal justice, human services or equivalent from an accredited college as well as a minimum of three years’ experience working with youth and or families that are considered immigrants, refugees or other vulnerable populations. Experience working in shelters and or residential settings preferred.Must have knowledge of immigration laws and documentation or possess ability to learn quickly.Must be a team player and have the ability to work independently.Must be flexible and able to work some evenings and weekends.
