What Success Looks Like In This Job
Adams County Government and the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office seek an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning phase of a Family Justice Center (FJC) for Adams and Broomfield Counties. Family Justice Centers are co-located, multidisciplinary service hubs for survivors of interpersonal violence, including intimate partner violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. The FJC model centralizes services to increase safety, reduce trauma, and improve outcomes for survivors and their families.
The Project Coordinator will focus on and help coordinate the foundational efforts necessary to plan and establish the FJC, focusing on stakeholder engagement, resource identification, operational strategy, and site planning. This role emphasizes strategic coordination and collaboration during the critical planning phase to ensure a sustainable and impactful launch of the FJC.
Examples of Duties for Success
+ Serve as the primary liaison between Adams County and the District Attorney’s Office concerning the FJC.
+ Assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive project roadmap outlining goals, timelines, and deliverables.
+ Help coordinate parties involved in the planning process, including public and private agencies, law enforcement, and community organizations.
+ Help coordinate and provide staff support to the FJC Work Groups.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers, government officials, and community partners.
+ Provide support to community-based efforts to gather input and foster support for the FJC initiative.
+ Collaborate with District Attorney staff and partners to identify and evaluate potential facility sites.
+ Provide support and input in the development of conceptual facility designs and space-use plans in alignment with the FJC model.
+ Research, gather and help draft preliminary operational policies, procedures, and staffing plans for the FJC
+ Work with the District Attorney’s Grants Compliance Analyst to identify funding opportunities and assist with grant applications.
+ Explore potential funding streams from local, state, and federal sources, as well as private donors.
+ Identify the needs assessments and data collection efforts necessary to inform decision-making.
+ Help establish metrics to measure the success and sustainability of the FJC.
+ Network with other family justice centers, the National FJC Alliance, and other leaders in the victim services field to help ensure implementation of best practices.
+ Collaborate with and support FJC staff to ensure the success of the FJC.
More Qualifications for Success
To be successful, our ideal candidate should have the following skills and abilities:
+ Proven experience coordinating complex projects, particularly in the planning and development phases.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
+ Demonstrated experience in community engagement and relationship building.
+ Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and the dynamics of interpersonal violence.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Experience with grant writing and resource development.
+ Demonstrated ability to assess needs, collect and evaluate data, and make evidence-based recommendations.
+ An understanding of the Victim Rights Act (VRA) and a working familiarity with trauma informed practices and the laws surrounding domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse and human trafficking.
+ Ability to identify issues problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Educational Background:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
Professional Experience:
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in or with the criminal justice system, with a strong focus on services for victims of domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, or related interpersonal violence.
+ With at least two (2) years of experience managing high-stakes projects with multiple simultaneous deliverables, including the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize effectively
Note: This is a regular full-time position for 40 hrs per week. Full or partial funding for this position is subject to the availability of grant funds. Positions funded by external grants may be subject to termination if the grant funding ceases. Positions funded by external grants will be reviewed by the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office for viability in the absence of grant funds.
