Family Medicine Physician
Job Descriptions: Job Summary: The incumbent provides outpatient comprehensive medical services for patients of all ages and gender on a continuing basis by performing the following functions. Essential Functions: + Reviews patient’s medical record, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status. + Elicits and records information about patient’s medical history. + Examines patients for symptoms or physical information. + Orders various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition. + Analyzes reports and finding of test examination, and diagnoses condition of patient. + Administers or prescribes treatments. + Perform gynecological screening examinations, and basic gynecological problem + Determines and prescribes medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient’s condition and allergies. + Discusses any possible side effects to medication or immunization with patient. + Prescribes and administers vaccination to immunize patient from communicable diseases. + Promotes health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for preventing of disease. + Refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient’s well-being. + Documents the patient’s visit including physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action. + Follows up with patient regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases. + Conducts physical examinations to provide information needed for health wellness, admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage. + Participates in Quality Improvement activities and peer review activities as required. + Participates in rotation of after clinic hours for telephone coverage including evenings, weekends, and holidays. + Provide clinical guidance and support to Mid-level providers. + Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Functions: + None Required Experience: Qualifications and Experience: + Three to five years’ experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. + Medical Degree from an accredited school required. + Must be able to perform the essential functions of this job satisfactorily. + Current PA professional license. + Current DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Certificate. + Current Board Certification required. + Current Driver’s license required. + Current CMEs required. + BLS certification required. + Skill proficiency in geriatric, adult medicine, women’s health, and pediatric medicine.
