This 1.0 FTE position will be a lead physician for the Medical Weight Management program. This position supervises 17 APC's in the Medical Weight Loss program, defines and clarifies clinical practice through development of guidelines and protocols and serves as a system-level expert in obesity care.

Job Description:
Responsible for direct patient care by reviewing patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Provides education, consultation or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families. This is a full scope practice with both inpatients and outpatients. Provides direct patient care to all ages of individuals and families on a daily basis. Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
Principle Responsibilities
Required QualificationsDoctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicineCompletion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Family Medicine0 to 2 years of demonstrated experience in designated specialty area
