At our program in Newport News, VA we offer outpatient services within Psychiatric and Substance Use Disorder services.  

We are seeking a provider to work at our inpatient location. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Provide direct care to our clients.  Consults with primary healthcare providers to ensure physical healthcare needs of clients are met. Coordinates with medical staff of other providers such as state and inpatient facilities. 

Required Qualifications
Licensure, Education, & Experience:
• Active medical license as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Virginia
• One year of experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting and must possess direct clinical training and work in the areas of substance use disorder treatment preferred.

• A working knowledge of federal and state standards as well as regulating body standards.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs, stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
