Become a vital part of our compassionate team and make a significant difference in patient care! We are looking for an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to join the School of Nursing in Bryan, Texas.
You will collaborate with a dedicated team to provide primary care in a mobile school-based clinic, serving students, families, and community residents in the rural areas around the Brazos Valley of Texas.

Qualifications
+ Master of Science degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience AND one year directly related experience serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner
+ Active license as a Registered Nurse AND as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse / Family Nurse Practitioner, in the state of Texas with prescriptive authority AND national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience and must hold a Basic Life Support Certificate from the American Heart Association. Additionally, having experience in health professions education is highly desirable.

Location: This is an in-person role located in Bryan, Texas.

Glimpse of the Job
In this role, you will conduct comprehensive history, psychosocial, and physical examinations, diagnose acute, chronic, and urgent primary care conditions, and develop therapeutic care plans. You will order and interpret diagnostic tests, manage medications, and educate patients and their families. Coordinating patient care to ensure safety and efficiency, you will liaise with clinical staff and consult services, and perform primary care procedures. Your responsibilities include providing health maintenance services such as immunizations and screenings, counseling patients on preventive healthcare, and managing emergent conditions. Additionally, you will serve as a clinical resource, document clinical encounters accurately, apply evidence-based treatments, mentor nursing students, promote cost savings, and participate in continuous improvement processes, data reporting, and scholarly projects.
