Your role.Your work will include, but not be limited to:Working with balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows for families. Generally, personal balance sheets or investment partnerships and trusts, as opposed to operating companies. Performing the following accounting functions:Transaction data entryAccounts payable - entering and coding invoices, managing and tracking recurring billsJournal entriesGeneral ledger reviewBank account and other balance sheet account reconciliationsReading, booking, and basic understanding of investment statements
The qualifications.Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required 5+ years of experience requiredBookkeeping/accounting knowledge including general ledger/chart of account expense coding:Understanding of balance sheet vs. income statement accounts and ability to record activity appropriatelyAbility to assign proper general ledger code to transactionsAssisting with month end close process including balance sheet reconciliation, trend analysis and financial statement preparationAssisting with preparation of monthly financial reportsAbility to work with various software: Bill.com, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (including formulas and tables), OutlookPreference is for the new hire to be in office on a regular basis but open to 100% remote
