USAID’s Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a USAID-funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local non-governmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity strengthening assistance and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning. The MCGL Jordan program will provide support to the USAID/Jordan-funded Government to Government Partnership for Health in Family Planning (PHFP) program, led by the Ministry of Health (MOH), with aims to promote and provide quality family planning services to the population of Jordan.

 

The USAID-funded MCGL Jordan Activity aims to strengthen the stewardship role of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to enhance family planning practices in Jordan. An essential component of this project is improving the quality of family planning service delivery. We are seeking a dedicated Family Planning Service Delivery Improvement Specialist to support these initiatives. This position will collaborate closely with the MOH, Health directorates, health care providers, and other technical advisors to align family planning service delivery efforts with the overarching goals of the MCGL Jordan.

Responsibilities Enhance the capabilities of the MOH and its health directorates to effectively implement and sustain service delivery improvement approach.Support in facilitating service delivery improvement sessions for health care providers to share experiences and best practices focusing on family planning service delivery.Monitor and evaluate the progress and effectiveness of family planning service delivery across selected health centers, providing real-time feedback.Strengthen the data use culture within the MOH to improve family planning programs by standardizing critical performance indicators and enhancing staff capabilities for data collection and analysis.Organize training sessions for MOH staff and healthcare providers to emphasize the importance of data utilization in decision-making.Coordinate stakeholder meetings and develop reports summarizing findings, progress, and recommendations related to family planning service delivery improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in public health, Health Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in reproductive health, family planning, or related fields, with a focus on service delivery improvement initiatives.Experience providing supervision for technical staff Demonstrated experience working with governmental health systems, particularly the Ministry of Health, and familiarity with the quality service delivery Improvement approach.Strong understanding of the health sector in Jordan, specifically regarding family planning services and reproductive health.Proven ability to design and implement effective quality improvement interventions and work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Fluency in Arabic and English is required.

Work Environment:

This position involves a mix of office and field-based work at various sites. Occasional overnight stays may be required.
