Location: Orlando, FL. Salary: OPS $24 an hour ($50,000/Yr) Position Description: The Program Coordinator will be responsible for launching and managing the Step into Success Workforce Education and Internship Pilot Program in Orlando. This role involves developing program components, establishing partnerships with community organizations and employers, coordinating services for eligible foster youth and former foster youth, and ensuring compliance with state guidelines. The coordinator will play a pivotal role in empowering participants to develop workforce and professional skills for successful independent living. Key Responsibilities: Program Development and Management: + Oversee the implementation of the independent living professionalism and workforce education component, ensuring participants earn certification required for the internship phase. + Establish and maintain processes to deliver trauma-informed workforce training internships in alignment with program guidelines. + Collaborate with community-based care agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations to design and deliver workshops and resources on professionalism, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Partnership Building: + Recruit and onboard local agencies, corporations, and other entities as participating organizations for hosting interns. + Develop relationships with mentors, ensuring proper training and alignment with program objectives. + Collaborate with local educational institutions to facilitate the award of postsecondary credit or career education clock hours for program participants. Participant Coordination: + Conduct outreach to eligible foster youth and former foster youth to inform them of program opportunities and assist with enrollment. + Assess participant career interests to match them with suitable internship opportunities. + Provide ongoing support to participants, including resume preparation, mock interviews, and workplace readiness training. Administrative Duties: + Monitor program activities to ensure compliance with state regulations, including financial assistance distribution to participants and mentors. + Track and report program outcomes, such as internship completion rates, participant employment, and feedback for annual reporting. + Develop corrective action plans as needed in collaboration with mentors and participating organizations. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in social work, Education, Human Services, or a related field + Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, youth services, or workforce development. + Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and workforce readiness programming. + Strong skills in partnership development, mentorship, and stakeholder engagement. + Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Skills: + Experience working with foster youth or in independent living programs. + Familiarity with local community resources, educational institutions, and workforce training organizations. + Proficiency in program evaluation and reporting. Work Environment: + Hybrid position with travel required within the city to meet with community partners, conduct workshops, and visit internship sites.
