Do you have personal or professional experience within or in support of programs serving youth and families and/or the child welfare team?Family Support Clinicians(FSCs) are an essential component of the Congregate Care Bureau's mission: ensuring that youth receive the right level of care, the appropriate treatment, and the necessary duration of support. FSCs provide clinical support and psychoeducation to foster and birth parents, aiming to stabilize youth within their communities, prevent placement disruptions, and assist with healthy congregate care transitions during discharge. In addition, FSCs offer 24-hour crisis support to families, serving as caregivers to youth who may be at risk of disrupting their current placement. Through immediate intervention and therapeutic strategies, FSCs work to prevent youth from entering the foster care system by maintaining stability within their home environments and ensuring continuity of care.
