Job Summary:
We're looking to bring a Family Worker on board to provide treatment interventions with children and families within the R.I.S.E./DYS Program, whose mission is to strengthen, expand and integrate a comprehensive system of community-based, culturally competent behavioral health and complementary services for children with serious emotional and behavioral health needs and their families. The Clinician will work in tandem with outreach caseworkers and peer mentors using designated clinical treatment models.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess the needs and strengths of families requesting support; engage and support families using a strength-based approach; The Point of Contact when it comes to organizing family Visits Supervise Family Visits Facilitate public awareness of the DYS; support development and implementation of a robust outreach plan to proactively bring families into the DYS understandin; engage with court clerks, probation officers, juvenile court judges, . Host family, youth and group support groups for program participants and their families; engage parents in leadership development activities such as workshops/trainings; provide family members with connections to mutual support networks; Bridge between Clinical and Programmatic (Liaison)Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor level Experience and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations in a community-setting using a family-centered, strength-based approach Must be available for weekend and evening hours Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency requirements for driving history records and criminal background checks Exceptional demonstrated interpersonal and writing skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Corel; and related office technology Bilingual, especially in Spanish/English, strongly preferred
