Family Support Worker

Masada Private Hospital, East St Kilda

 

We are seeking Family support worker with experience in early parenting work to join our team. Multiple casual positions!

 

About the Role

Our Early Parenting Centre Residential program (EPC) is a 20 bed specialist inpatient unit for the assessment and treatment of new mothers' health and wellbeing providing acute specialist treatment programs consisting of group, individual, carer/infant, fathers' group and parent education.

You will work with our supportive team to provide our patients with dedicated and specialised care.  Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the successful candidate will work as a member of the early parenting team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They will provide high quality care to all patients and clients.

 

In this role you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective team player who brings excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to meet your responsibilities. The flexibility to handle a varied 24/7 roster will also be essential.

 

You will also hold;                                                                                     

Certificate III in Health Service Assistance or equivalent Available to work a flexible roster over 7 days a week High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills Self-motivated and able to work effectively according to directions High level of customer service and excellent time management skills Understanding of infection control principles.

 

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $32 - $39 + superannuation + levels of experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months Depending on the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
