Farm Worker - Summer Help Part-Time

Job Details:

This position is responsible for maintaining grounds area which will include painting facility/equipment/piping/etc., mowing, trimming, cleanup/pick up trash, pulling weeds and miscellaneous grounds keeping duties. Applicant must be organized, able to work independently, be able to bend, climb, twist, and lift 50lbs frequently.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

Always follow the Farms biosecurity program on to farm.Adhere and enforce all Tyson safety policies.Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by department lead and/or supervisor.

Requirements (minimum requirements to be considered for the job)

Must be able to understand and convey written and oral communication.Must know how to drive a tractor and skid loader.Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl.Must provide own transportation to farm site.Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Experience with computers, electrical, plumbing and carpentry preferred.Corrected near 20/20 vision.Able to pass a drug screening.Must be able to communicate with coworkers, supervisor, and management.

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to three (3) times of employment.
