Position Summary: As a Farmers Market Attendant, you-ll assist with the on-site management and daily operations of the Farmers- Market. From supporting vendors and enforcing market guidelines to providing top-notch customer service, you-ll help ensure a welcoming, well-organized, and compliant market experience for all. Key Responsibilities: + Assist with market setup, operations, and shutdown, including traffic barricades, cones, and signage. + Manage the low-cost debit program (SNAP) and reconcile transactions at the end of the market. + Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving complaints, and handling emergencies. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations. + Help enforce market rules, layout vendor booths, and maintain the Market Information Booth. + Perform light custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash collection. + Complete end-of-day operations reports and assist with special events. Qualifications: + Required: + High school diploma or G.E.D. + One year of experience in a fast-paced, customer service environment. + Satisfactory credit history. + Preferred: + Experience in agriculture, event management, or facility operations. + Familiarity with nonprofit, community, or agriculture-based groups. The rate of pay is $15.50 per hour. Physical and Environmental Factors: This role involves working outdoors, standing for long periods, and occasionally lifting 20-30 lbs. Weekend and holiday availability, including special holiday markets, is required. Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen.
