Job Description
This position oversees programs and personnel related to the complex work area of collection activities - enforcement (i.e., liens and levies), vendor offset, and associated fund management for the Financial and Administrative Unit (FAU) in the Collection Services Bureau (CSB). This employee directs programmatic activities, ensures effective and efficient work processes, and makes recommendations for changes to business practices based upon data and the performance of the team.
The employee in this position performs various supervisory functions including hiring, training, directing daily staff assignments and priorities, and performance management. Furthermore, the employee in this position is responsible for administrative functions, including program evaluation and reporting, account reviews, adjustments and approvals, and escalated issues. This position may require handling stressful situations relating to investigation, collection, and customer interactions.
The employee in this position serves as a member of the Services Management Division and FAU leadership team and, as such, serves as a liaison to other departments and divisions, CSB private collections vendor(s), cognate areas within Treasury, and external partners.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
One year of experience equivalent to a Departmental Supervisor 11 or experienced-level professional; or two years equivalent to a Departmental Supervisor 10, Office Supervisor 11 and 12, Secretary Supervisor 11, experienced-level technician or paraprofessional; or three years equivalent to an Office Supervisor 10, Secretary Supervisor 10, Emergency Dispatch Supervisor 10, or Human Resources Customer Service Supervisor 10.

This position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays , and must work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Selected candidate must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace or workstation for performance of work and secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.

Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
