Sales Manager - Nigeria

The Sales Manager systematically develops supports and implements growth strategies to achieve or exceed bookings targets for assigned sales IOC accounts for a defined opportunity. Opportunities can range from targeted-driven displacement, implementing a Worldwide sales strategy for Key account customers or developing relationships with specific customers. Engaging with customers and the local sales organization.

Job Responsibilities

Lead Flow Controls Business Unit for solutions, products and services sales & business development initiatives for International Oil Companies (IOCs) in Nigeria. Meet or exceed financial objectives (budget, POR, etc.) as required in support of the Flow Controls MEA business plan Direct, Develop, Collaborate with and support sales representatives in the country. Analyze and develop plans with the Strategic vendors where applicable to drive competitive displacement with FIELDVUE solution Work closely with other Emerson Automation Solutions Business Units and improve pull-through content Take a pro-active role in working with the Valves Global Project Pursuit Team and local sales representative to identify, qualify and pursue valves projects to achieve order conversion and improve the potential for valves Business Unit and all Emerson Automation Solutions products and services · Develop long-term relationships with management within customer accounts to ensure awareness of the capabilities of Valves Business Unit and Emerson Automation Solutions. · Improve customer happiness by finding solutions to their needs · Keep up to date with developments in products, industries and market trends. · Ensure Emerson Ethics and trade compliance procedures are strictly followed with all business transactions · Keep up to date with developments in products, industry and market trends. Enforce to Emerson’s dedication to Environment, Health & Safety as a core business value Other responsibilities as required

For This Role, You Will Need: 

Educated to degree level in a engineering university. Chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.  A maximum of 5 years sales experience in the valve industry with minimum of 3 years in a sales leadership position.  Achievement of an MBA qualification will be considered advantageous but not vital 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: 

Track record of achieving sales targets and growing territory above market growth.  Ability to consistently deliver profitable sales growth and to sell value instead of price.  Application experience in Mining.  Relevant sales and management/leadership experience and the effective use of CRM.  A minimum of 2 to 6 years sales / sales channel management experience in the valve industry / process control Industry  Track record of achieving sales targets and growing activity above market growth  Ability to consistently deliver profitable sales growth  Application experience in Hydrocarbon and Oil & Gas process in general, will be advantageous
