As Global Front End Central Quality (FECQ) Quality Systems (QS) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be accountable for improving the quality systems for all Micron Fabs.
You will work with Front End Fabs and other central teams to provide direction and assistance with equipment control systems (FD, IIoT, Tool alarms, ECID, Machine risk assessment, post PM control) and/or supplier data collaboration programs and help coordinate these systems across multiple facilities globally.
In this position, you will be tasked with driving project and programs, and may work with vendors for application improvement & upgrade that is aimed at generating insights or improve quality processes to increase process margins, yield and reliability, as well as productivity.
As FECQ QS engineer, you will be expected to lead the SWAT in one or more of the quality systems, develop, and deploy BKM across the front end fabs. You also need to establish metrics, provide mentorship and training of BKMs.
Responsibilities:
Global Collaboration & Support: Mentor and support worldwide equipment control and supplier data teams, driving alignment and continuous improvement initiatives across regions.
Technical Process Optimization: Identify business process gaps, develop and implement Best Known Methods (BKMs), and provide technical consulting on software/hardware solutions.
Data Quality & Analysis: Evaluate data integrity, derive actionable insights, and initiate improvements to enhance system performance and decision-making.
Project & Program Management: Leading projects through all lifecycle phases, defining success metrics, managing partners and multi-functional teams, and balancing scope, time, cost, and risk.
Essential Communication & Partner Engagement: Provide clear, timely updates, develop strong internal/external partnerships, and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study and 5 years of proven experience in any equipment control or supplier data collaboration fields.
Strong knowledge in equipment control methodology or systems (e.g. univariate analysis, time trending analysis, drifting analytics)
Strong knowledge in cloud systems (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake)
Strong knowledge in analytics like multi-variate analysis methods, predictive analytics, data correlation
The ability and willingness to travel, including extended business travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
An equipment engineering or data engineering background and experience is preferred.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and people oriented: have strong persuasive and diplomatic communication skills (oral, written, one-on-one, and group).
Been recognized as an individual who obtains results through the coordination of successful teams.
Good time-management skills and the ability to work unsupervised and support production needs.
