Services shall include but are not limited to: CAD/BIM user support, CAD/BIM Standards development and control, Staff training, Project Set-up, Project CAD Standards reviews, 3D Coordination reviews, AutoCAD, and Revit Content creation. This position will work side by side with the CAD/BIM team members to effectively grow, develop, update, and support the 2D, 3D Design CAD, and BIM software, standards, and processes at POWER Engineers Inc. The successful candidate will be located in a POWER office or an area accessible to a POWER office. It is preferred that the candidate is located in Boise, Idaho, or Madison, Wisconsin. **Job Responsibilities:** + Software + Understand and familiarize themselves with all 2D and 3D Design software applications used currently in the Government Services Division and with Federal Clients. + Utilize the Autodesk AutoCAD application daily, to provide project support, project set-up, Client Standards compliance, updates, and AutoCAD content creation. + Understand and utilize the Autodesk Revit applications daily as needed to provide modeling support, content creation, and production support and enhance the current project processes. + Understand and use the Autodesk Navisworks application as needed to provide coordination support, model review, coordination, and appropriate simulations when applicable. + Leverage Autodesk Inventor to assist teams with Shrink-wrapping and simplification of complex Vendor equipment models for use in POWER Federal General arrangement drawings/models. + Understand the working relationships and workflow between the Autodesk portfolio of software applications and all Design/Document Management solutions such as ProjectWise and Autodesk Vault. + Standards + Assist with maintaining, developing, and updating POWER CAD/BIM Standards and processes. + Assist with maintaining, developing, and updating Federal Client CAD/BIM Standards and processes. + Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to POWER and Federal Client CAD/BIM Standards and processes for all Federal Projects. + Assist the Project PM and Design Teams roles with enforcing both POWER and Federal Client CAD/BIM Standards and processes. + Assist and ensure Revit modeling standards are followed, maintained, and utilized for all Federal projects. + Develop and maintain new CAD/BIM standards and processes as software applications and clients evolve. + Develop Client AutoCAD Standards files for batch checking of discipline drawings + Develop Client Revit Model Standards checks for all discipline models involved in Federal BIM Projects. + Technical Management + Assist with software and technology evaluation and budgets for future technology adoption that align with corporate/company goals. + Provide daily AutoCAD and Revit model management, model coordination, and overall model maintenance reviews. + Continually review the quality and development of both 2D, 3D CAD and BIM processes on Federal projects. + Work with Project Design teams to assist and ensure 2D drafting and 3D modeling workflows promote the correct and efficient use of the Autodesk applications throughout the project lifecycle. + Configure, set up, and support Federal AutoCAD Project templates and profiles. + Configure, set up, and support Federal Revit Server Projects for teams. + Training + Provide Project team update training on Client Federal CAD/BIM Standards + Provide AutoCAD training for in-house Federal Design team staff and Project Managers + Provide Revit application training for in-house Federal Design team staff and Project Managers + Provide technical orientation and training to new hires regarding POWER, Client CAD Standards, and software applications. + Maintain a high level of competency in Autodesk Software through continued use and training. + Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops for 2D and 3D Design and BIM; bring back information/learning to later disseminate to the appropriate POWER teams. + Project work + Understand Client specific CAD/BIM requirements and provide support accordingly. + Set up, maintain, coordinate, and run coordination/model reviews on projects utilizing 3D CAD or Revit modeling with the Autodesk Navisworks Manage application. + Assist the project team, including subcontractors, with model set-up and maintenance for all projects + Assist PM with the development, and execution of CAD/BIM Execution planning meetings and Project CAD/BIM kick-offs. + Create AutoCAD content (Blocks, Dynamic blocks, text, dimension, multi-leader styles, etc.) in response to project needs. + Create Revit content (Families) in response to project needs. + Edit and set up Laser Scan Point Cloud data for the Project team's use/referencing in design and coordination applications. + Assist Federal PM group with setting up project budgets and scope regarding 2D/3D CAD/BIM deliverables and overall project execution. + Assist Federal PM group with setting up project budgets and scope regarding Laser scanning in conjunction with CAD/BIM Scan Survey Techs. + Work with the Federal PM group to communicate, and request clarifications, updates, and direction on Client CAD/BIM Standards for Federal Projects. + Collaborate and direct internal Design teams, external AE consultants, and contractors to ensure proper standards and both drafting/modeling methods are agreed upon and enforced. **Required Education/Experience** + Minimum 2-year Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction-related field. + Minimum of 8 years experience using Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and 3D drafting/modeling processes, project support, and overall product implementation. + Minimum of 8 years experience using Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, applications, project support, and overall product implementation. + Must be self-motivated, follow directions, and be motivated to dig into applications to figure workflows and modeling methods out. + Experience with Autodesk Revit Architecture, Structure, and MEP. + Experience with Autodesk Navisworks Simulate and Manage. + Experience with Bentley MicroStation + Ability to take initiative, respond to issues quickly and effectively, and document the solutions and or work methods discovered. + Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed. + Ability to be innovative with existing and new technologies to continually improve POWER workflows and Design applications. + Excellent technical computer skills - using the Internet, file sharing applications, Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and Bluebeam REVU PDF. + Strong personal management skills, dedication, organization, open-mindedness, and overall team player. + Creative thinking with the ability to work in a close-knit environment. + Travel to customer and project sites may be required. **Desired Education/Experience** + Experience working on Federal/GSA Projects leveraging various Federal CAD/BIM standards preferred, but not required. + Experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred, but not required. + Experience with Autodesk Re-Cap and or similar Point Cloud editing applications. + Experience with Bluebeam REVU a plus. + Experience with Bentley ProjectWise a plus. + Experience working with multiple disciplines and software applications preferred. + Familiarity with 3rd-party add-in applications/tools specific to Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Autodesk Navisworks At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
