SALARY:  $52,000-$61,750, bonus eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:

The primary role of the Coordinator, Legal and Corporate Affairs is to provide operational support to our U.S. Federal Government Affairs team – reporting to the Director, Legal & Corporate Affairs Operations. Routine responsibilities will include important tactical work including processing contribution requests and assisting in managing team budgets, as well as coordinating special events. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with talented and knowledgeable government affairs, communications, and legal professionals, and provides excellent growth opportunities for a high performer with a positive attitude. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process political, charitable and sponsorship requests, including all required internal and external compliance verification and approvals Compose, prepare, and disburse cover letters and checks with, required letters of complianceManage, track, and execute vendor payments, including but not limited to vendor set-up, purchase order requisitions and final paymentContract management for federal lobbyists and consultantsResearch inquiries into billing issues and problemsTrack and monitor budgets, investigating variances, and updating financial forecasts Coordinate internal and external special events such as departmental meetings, receptions and fundraisers, including event calendar management, invitations, and catering, as well as event attendance as needed; support senior leadership visits to the DC officeGeneral office management duties that include purchasing supplies, maintaining office space rooms and equipment, coordinating with on-site property managers and security, and generally making sure things run smoothly.
 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Degree preferred; some college requiredMinimum 3 years experienceExperience with special event planning support and execution, Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point; SAP a plusBasic accounting exposure and experienceData collection and reporting experience using spreadsheets and charts Ability to work under tight deadlines, set priorities and multitask with excellent organizational skills and follow-upStrong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and desire to work in team environment
