Join our collaborative team as an EFS (ENERCON Federal Services) Accounting Manager where your leadership skills and deep FAR knowledge will ensure financial integrity and drive growth.
ResponsibilitiesThis day-to-day role involves a blend of technical accounting responsibilities, leadership, communication, and a strong focus on ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, particularly within the context of government contracting.
Analyze Financial Data: Analyze financial data, including costs, productivity, and margins, to identify trends and potential issues that need to be addressedWork with Accounting Software: Utilize accounting software to manage and track project financialsReview Project Financial Reports: Start the day by reviewing financial reports related to active projects, particularly focusing on those involving government contracts to ensure FAR complianceProvide Financial Analysis & Recommendations: Analyze financial information and provide recommendations for cost reduction or revenue enhancementTroubleshoot & Resolve Financial Issues: Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues related to project finances, ensuring accurate reportingUnderstand Contract Terms: Read and interpret contract terms to ensure accurate billing and compliance with contractual obligationsMaintain Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and develop processes and procedures to strengthen financial controls Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting10+ years' experience in accounting with at least 5 years supporting a FAR compliant accounting systemCPA Preferred (not required) Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are requiredDemonstrated leadership skills working in a highly collaborative team environmentAbility to work well with others as well as independently with limited directionMulti-tasking capabilities and the ability to correctly prioritizeHigh energy and superior critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to be efficient and thrive in a fast-paced settingKnowledge of GAAP, FAR and general business and tax lawKnowledge of Payroll regulations and legal requirements preferredMid-Size company ($200 plus million) experience preferredExcellent computer skills including strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and WordExperience with Unanet, or other large Project Management and Accounting System Software a big plusHighly prefer candidates with experience working within a project driven engineering consulting firm or similar environment Additional Information
