Federal Work Study - Student Assistant (Map and Imagery Library)

Job Description:

Student Assistant needed for the Map & Imagery Library at the University of Florida. Duties include, but are not limited to: filing maps and atlases, maintaining databases, organization projects, assisting library patrons, other tasks as needed.

 

Hours: 9 – 10 hrs/week

Map & Imagery Library hours during Summer semester:

Monday -Thursday 8 am – 6 pm; Friday 8 am – 5 pm

Expected Salary:

$13.50/hour

Minimum Requirements: Once trained, will be able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Must be punctual, reliable, detail oriented, and work well with others. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc…). Must have Federal Work Study award for Summer 2025. Preferred Qualifications: Able to include evening hours (5-6 pm) in your work schedule. Able to lift 25 lbs. Knowledge of world geography. Previous library experience.
