Feed Mill Supervisor

Feed Mill Supervisor

\n

Assists the Feed Mill Manager with directing the Feed Mill operations including maintenance, manufacturing, delivery, quality, production/maintenance costs and employee relations.

\n

Work hours  2:00PM to 10:00PM

\n

Responsibilities & Duties

\n\n·         Overseas operations provide the best manufacturing practices.\n·         Ensures all manufacturing practice policies set forth by the Company are completed and documented.\n·         Ensures FDA requirements are followed and documented.\n·         Ensures proper delivery to Company and Contract farms is accurate and timely.\n·         Oversees all aspects of the preventative maintenance program.\n·         Ensure quality control procedures and policies (including HACCP) are adhered to.\n·         Reports and assists with all injuries and investigations.\n·         Monitors and minimizes shrink in ingredients and finished feeds.\n·         Provides good “housekeeping” practices.\n·         Ensures a clean environment throughout the Mill.\n·         Enforce all safety procedures and processes to maintain a safe working environment.\n·         Supervises special projects as assigned by Feed Mill Manager.\n·         Ensures safety and well-being of Butterball employees.\n·         Conduct safety meetings, safety training, safety documentation.\n·         Continually striving for zero accidents.\n·         Assists with scheduling of employees and company projects.\n·         Monitors attendance of all employees on his shift.\n·         Coaches and provides Performance Feedback to associates.\n\n

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

\n\nKnowledge of grow-out operations.\nAbility to work flexible hours based on business needs.\nEffective communication skills both written and oral.\n\n

Education & Experience:

\n\nBachelor's degree or equivalent feed mill work experience.  \nComputer experience – knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook. \n\n

Physical Demands:

\n\nStanding, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping with hand. \nMust be able to read and complete reports and use a computer.\n\n

Work Environment:

\n\nUsual office and plant exposures.\nExposure to dust and outside elements.\n\n
