Job Summary

\n\n\n\n\n

Operate equipment to manufacture finished feed including batching, pelleting and grinding.

\n\n\n\n\n

 

\n\n\n\n\n

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

\n\n\n\n\n

·         Perform all duties in a safe manner consistent with company Policy and Procedures and safety training.

\n

·         Must attend scheduled safety meetings and other training meetings.

\n

·         Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment

\n

·         Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation, and Monitor Inventories of ingredients and finished feed (as required)

\n

·         Monitor batching, pelleting, fat application, grinding, and routing processes, and accurately measure 36 finished feed bins as needed throughout the shift.

\n

·         Input information into computer automation system accurately.

\n

·         Operate equipment, automatically or manually, via computer automation consistent with procedures.

\n

·         Operate pellet mills and batch feed using Repute FLX control system.

\n

·         Dump micro ingredients, stack bags for micros, maintain accurate dump sheets

\n

·         Collect all required samples as defined in Quality Control Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures and Perform all required testing as set forth in the SOP

\n

·         Perform general labor duties as assigned or needed by management a

\n

·         Perform all job functions consistent with Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Quality Control Guidelines.

\n

·         Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices.

\n

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

\n\n\n\n\n

·         Must be task oriented and a self-starter with the ability to follow detailed instructions.

\n

·         Must have the ability to handle paperwork with accuracy.

\n

·         Ability to operate a forklift and tractor

\n

·         Basic math skills

\n\n\n\n\n

 

\n\n\n\n\n

Education & Experience

\n\n\n\n\n

High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred. Good reading, writing, math and communication skills required.

\n\n\n\n\n

 

\n\n\n\n\n

Physical Demands

\n\n\n\n\n

·         Must be able to swing a sledgehammer and carry 50 pound ingredient bags

\n

·         Ability to work at heights and climb vertical and step ladders

\n

·         Ability to work in confined spaces

\n

·         Ability to work in hot and cold environments

\n\n\n\n\n

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet, humid and dusty conditions and moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places, extreme cold and heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
