The FERC Generation Compliance Team also serves as the oversight function, dedicated to the monitoring and interpreting of applicable rules and requirements and in supporting the effective execution of the day-to-day operational processes and controls needed to meet commodity trading regulations. The primary role of the FERC Compliance Analyst will be to support the implementation of the FERC Generation Compliance Program and to effectively administer the program in concert with the various business units and departments at LS Power under the supervision of the Director, FERC Generation. **Responsibilities** **What you will do:** + Support the FERC Generation Compliance Management Team in the establishment and implementation of the FERC Generation Compliance Program with respect to key FERC and CFTC compliance focus areas. + Assist in the administration and management of FERC Generation compliance training programs, including FERC Generation ICP new hire and annual trainings, ad hoc trainings related to FERC/CFTC enforcement actions/investigations/change in law + Develop and deliver related compliance training programs + Manage and update tracking of training worksheet + Assist in the management and submission of compliance reporting obligations, including but not limited to, FERC and CFTC regulatory reporting requirements + Work cross-functionally with other business units to collect and verify required data + Support the FERC Compliance Sr. Analyst in the review and submission of filings + Create and manage a regulatory filing matrix, ensuring the timely submission of all regulatory filings + Assist in the development and administration of the market participant registration process, focusing on issuing and auditing organized market access for internal stakeholder + Act as gatekeeper in the administration and management of digital certificates/access to organized markets + Assist and support the creation of new trading accounts and ISO/RTO Market Participant accounts + Establish and manage a robust monitoring and auditing process to ensure ongoing adherence to policies and regulations + Maintain awareness of new rules and regulations from ISOs/RTOs, trading exchanges, CFTC and FERC **Qualifications** **We want you on our team because you…** + Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field + Have experience of 3-5 years in trading compliance, risk and analytics, or operations in the energy trading industry + Have 3-5 years’ experience working in a commodity trading office environment, specifically dealing and working directly with commodity trading groups, trading operations, and other functions. + Possess and/or have working knowledge of the ISOs/RTOs (PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, CAISO, or ERCOT) and/or trading platforms and exchanges (ICE, NYMEX/CME, Nodal Exchange) + Are detail oriented and proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PP) + Have a solid understanding of the physical and financial energy commodity markets and products + Have solid written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills + Are able to multitask and effectively manage time to meet deadlines + Are able to define and set priorities, follow through, and respond to changes in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision + Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and experience using discretion and diplomacy to communicate information between and among business units and regulatory bodies. + Demonstrate extensive analytical skills, with prior work experience in gathering, reviewing and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, variations, and inconsistencies to ensure complete and accurate internal and regulatory reports and filings. **Ideally, you also have** + At the direction of the Director, FERC Generation Compliance, support the various business units in the development and creation of business-specific process documents and internal desk procedures + Ensure and manage the complete documentation of compliance activities + Lead the management and administration of FERC Generation Compliance SharePoint site, along with the network folder structure + Support business units with implementation of their department-level operating procedures + Support the identification and management of potential FERC Generation compliance issues and perform FERC Generation Compliance-related activities + Handle basic compliance issues and inquiries under supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate team members + Assist with internal investigations and audits as well as the implementation of corrective actions resulting from compliance inquiries and issues + Create and manage a compliance dashboard to monitor compliance issues **Job Locations** _US-NY-New York_ **ID** _2025-1669_ **Category** _Compliance_ **Type** _Full Time_
