Their primary role is to ensure that fermentation processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely to produce high-quality products.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $17 - $20 / hour This range is a goodfaith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
What you'll be doing as a Fermentation Operator:
* Monitoring Fermentation Processes
* Regularly monitoring fermentation equipment and processes to ensure they are operating correctly and efficiently.
* Some examples include measuring pH, temperature, and conversion rates.
* Operate Equipment: Operate various machines and equipment used in production such as centrifuge and pasteurization equipment.
* Physical processes include dumping 50lb drums, mixing ingredients,
* Maintaining Equipment: Performing routine tasks on fermentation equipment to keep it in optimal working condition and minimize downtime.
* Control equipment via a HMI visual screen that includes graphics, diagrams, and other equipment information.
* Quality Control: Conducting quality control checks by taking product samples throughout the fermentation process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
* Troubleshooting: Identifying and troubleshooting issues that arise during fermentation processes, such as equipment malfunctions or deviations from standard operating procedures.
* Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of fermentation activities, including batch logs, process parameters, and quality control data.
* Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
* Cleaning and Sanitizing: Cleaning and sanitizing fermentation equipment and work areas to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity.
* Standing 8-12 hours.
Available shifts:
Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening), 3rd Shift (Night)
Job requirements:
* Collaborating with other team members, such as microbiologists, engineers, and quality assurance personnel, to optimize fermentation processes and resolve any issues that arise.
