Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $17 - $20 / hour This range is a goodfaith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. What you'll be doing as a Fermentation Operator: * Monitoring Fermentation Processes * Regularly monitoring fermentation equipment and processes to ensure they are operating correctly and efficiently. * Some examples include measuring pH, temperature, and conversion rates. * Operate Equipment: Operate various machines and equipment used in production such as centrifuge and pasteurization equipment. * Physical processes include dumping 50lb drums, mixing ingredients, * Maintaining Equipment: Performing routine tasks on fermentation equipment to keep it in optimal working condition and minimize downtime. * Control equipment via a HMI visual screen that includes graphics, diagrams, and other equipment information. * Quality Control: Conducting quality control checks by taking product samples throughout the fermentation process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. * Troubleshooting: Identifying and troubleshooting issues that arise during fermentation processes, such as equipment malfunctions or deviations from standard operating procedures. * Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of fermentation activities, including batch logs, process parameters, and quality control data. * Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues. * Cleaning and Sanitizing: Cleaning and sanitizing fermentation equipment and work areas to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity. * Standing 8-12 hours.
