Provides comprehensive education in responsible parenthood instruction for achieving pregnancy, avoiding pregnancy, timing conception, pregnancy evaluation, NaProTracking the procreative cycle, SPICE instruction, and marital bonding. Provides education and case management for patients utilizing FertilityCareTM and NaProTECHNOLOGY Services: women’s health monitoring, maintenance, and evaluation of infertility, miscarriage, maintaining pregnancy, irregular cycles, hormone problems PMS, ovarian cysts, unusual bleeding, and the effects of stress. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the organization’s mission and values.JOB DUTIES
Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values.Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information.Demonstrates knowledge of group dynamics and basic adult education as evidenced in the selection of teaching strategies appropriate to the group and the use of a variety of teaching techniques.Prepares couples to assume a mutual and responsible role in family planning by providing education about the natural design of their fertility and monitoring of their procreative health.Maintains current knowledge in Natural Family Planning, FertilityCareTM, and NaProEducation, by independent study of professional journals, maintenance of certification and attending Natural Family Planning and FertilityCareTM continuing education programs.Presents a minimum of four introductory sessions per year.Instructs and manages a minimum of fifteen new clients in the program each year.Maintains professional collaboration with peers and physicians and attends monthly meetings of FertilityCareTM staff.Assists in the promotion of services and community outreach.1Integrates cost effective measures into practice by collecting unpaid fees and appropriate use of equipment.Understands need for flexibility and rotation of instructors.Performs duties in an independent manner. Seeks guidance and direction when necessary.Accepts the requirements and consequences of actions and decisions.Utilizes organization’s property and equipment in a manner, which protects fellow employees, patients, physicians, visitors, equipment, property and the environment.Obeys organization’s regulations for infection control and disposal of hazardous materials.Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Education: Graduate of the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ Practitioner Program or FertilityCare™ Practitioner Intern in good standing with FertilityCare™ Supervisor within 90 days of hire.
Licensure: Must be certified with American Academy of FertilityCare™ Practitioners (AAFCP) or be certified within two years of completing FertilityCare™ Practitioner program. Must be a member of AAFCP and CPR healthcare provider certified within 30 days of hire.
Experience: Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, obstetrics, and gynecology necessary. Specific knowledge of Creighton Model FertilityCareTM System and NaProTECHNOLOGY required. Proficient in office related computer software.
