Associate Planners assist the team on large and complex projects and manage small projects. FF&E Planners perform direct client interface as appropriate. They assist the internal team to maintain consistent results for client standards, procedures and protocol. They aid in the development of projects, by providing research, field verification, product specifications, vendor communications, as well as the development of working presentation documents and client deliverables. They need to feel comfortable building and maintaining successful and fruitful relationships with diverse co-workers and build a track record of successful projects.
Responsibilities Work with team to document clear project requirements, deliverables and deadlines to ensure expectations are fulfilledWork closely with vendor partners to gather and clarify detailed information and develop customer mock-upsAssist in developing customer presentations with an understanding of visual representation and graphic standards to create effective communication toolsAid in the development of processes and documentation to implement across multiple projectsEngage in detail-driven research for solutions based on client requirementsDevelop knowledge of commercial furnishings and equipment based on customer-specific standardsResearch cost saving opportunities for clientsGather and document program performance metrics for regular reporting based on client requirementsDevelop an appreciation for design principles to all activities: function, balance, alignment, proportion, materiality, etc.Apply a strong attention to detail to all documentation and processes, ensuring accurate and complete informationSkills/Qualifications Deadline-driven, self-motivated work ethicExcellent organization and time management skillsStrong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skillsIntermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite required, especially Excel and PowerPointAutoCAD or similar drafting software experience preferredBasic understanding of floorplans and drawing sets preferredBasic knowledge of commercial furnishings and equipment preferredBasic knowledge of building infrastructure, construction vocabulary and building codes preferredEducation & Experience (FF&E Planner)Bachelor’s Degree, preferrably in Interior Design, Architecture or Project ManagementMinimum of 1 year workplace experience required.0-2 years of interior design experience preferred.
