We are looking for a Fixed Networks Engineer within Fibre Services, where you will be responsible for the detail planning of the Vodafone Network Fibre Layer to support Customer Delivery, Core Project Build, Assure and Diversionary Works requirements.

What You'll Do:

 

 

Ad hoc travel to Network sites as required Liaison with Vodafone internal technical teams to facilitate Customer Feasibility process and provide timely responses via Desktop and Detailed costingsValidate Build Orders received and confirm deliverables and indicative timescales to account teamAllocate Fibres and confirm diversity requirements to partner design organisation, Instigating detailed, on site design and surveyReview output, check fibre layer compliance, confirm received Costs/Deliverables to Account team for approvalUpdate Vodafone Fibre Inventory Systems and Order Management SystemsAs required undertake direct survey, design and works packages for onward issueReview received costing requests, confirm deliverables and indicative timescales/costs to requestor within agreed statutory time scale.Allocate Fibres, schedule outage dates and confirm requirements to partner design organisation, Instigating detailed, on site design and surveyReview output, check fibre layer compliance, confirm received Costs/Deliverables to Sponsor for approvalValidate and schedule Cable Planned Outages on the Vodafone Fibre Network 

 

Who you are

 

 

Prior experience within Fibre Network Planning Effective communication skills – both written and verbalProven understanding of telephony distribution systems (Fibre) Proven understanding of civils construction practice and regulations (NRSWA)Competent user of Microsoft Office Packages (outlook, excel & word)Valid / full UK / EU driving license
 

Please note, this role requires the ability to achieve and maintain Security Clearance.
