The Field Data Analyst’s primary responsibility is to provide customer support through identifying Energy Optimization opportunities on pump control loops. The Field Data Analyst maintains and uses the most current system analysis tools for data collection to support analysis of complex flow systems. The Field Data Analyst provides the system understanding, pump and valve rerate fundamentals and project leadership skills to size, scope and report on Energy Advantage Flow Loop optimization studies.
As a project leader, the Field Data Analyst will direct and drive the duties of a multidiscipline team to analyze, propose and report on pump system energy optimization opportunities. The Field Data Analyst will complete a comprehensive Final Report including scope of modifications, energy saving potential and ROI. The Field Data Analyst is a highly skilled and valuable member of the Flowserve Engineering Community and is a leader within the organization for the development of unique technical solutions. The Field Data Analyst is responsible for driving Energy Advantage business and maintains constant interface with Sales to build strong customer relationships to develop proactive solutions .
Key responsibilities
Perform energy advantage flow loop optimization studies on hydraulic systems
Drive projects including interfaces with: Customer focal point, Pump AM Engineering, AM Commercial Operations and Sales
Conduct P&ID and Data Collection System data review
Prepares concise, professional assessment reports that outline methods of analysis, findings, and recommended solutions
Develops strong customer support through our technology approach and reliability focus to problem solving
Acquires data utilizing the customer’s installed instrumentation
Technical presentations
Effective and disciplined use of company systems
Promote assessment capabilities, monitoring solutions, engineering services for issue identification and solution development
Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required
Bachelor’s, preferably master’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
2-3 years relevant experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Oil & Gas industry; rotating equipment operation, design, and field troubleshooting; hydraulic engineering; and interpreting customer specifications.
Detailed knowledge of the engineering product, design principles and processes
Hydraulic System analysis experience
Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions
Excellent communication skills in English with Customers, Sales, Operations and Engineering
Strong analytical, problem solving and computer skills
Strong planning, time management and organizational skills
Highly capable to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated decision-making skills
Ability to focus on long-term goals and to identify and produce deliverables aligned with business objectives
Flexible concerning working hours & willing to travel for planned visits (up to 40%)
Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) methodology understanding
