As a Automotive Field Applications Engineer, this candidate will be responsible for pre- and post-sales technical support for Automotive Customers for Wolfspeed’s Silicon Carbide (SiC) power devices. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process and experience directly supporting customers with technical product specifications, product selection, system design, reliability, quality and manufacturing process. Target customers are focused on e-Powertrain for EV applications like On-Board Charger, On-Board DC/DC, Powertrain System and Power Module. This position requires interaction with customers at all levels of system design/development, components, quality engineering, procurement and general management.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for Wolfspeed direct sales or distributors through customer presentations and product demonstrationsMonitor & support customer design efforts; provide remote and on-site customer supportAssist customer design engineers to successfully incorporate Wolfspeed Silicon Carbide power components in their productsAnswer technical inquiries from customers with proper documentation and timely feedback/analysisSupport new product launches and introduction in target customers, including the training for channel partnersDesign, develop, document and distribute reference and demonstration platforms for SiC Power product target applicationsDevelop and present materials at technical seminars, tradeshows and distributor trainingProvide market feed back to the company with consolidated customer requirements to define new products and product enhancementsProvide SiC technology and product evangelism within the target customersLocal commercial activities like pricing strategy, partnership negotiation and programs to win

 

Minimum Requirements:

BS Degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 3-5 years’ experience with power systems and devices at theoretical and practical levelsField testing experienceFluency in written and spoken English and MandarinStrong customer presentation skillsA passion for SiC Power Devices
