Bio-Techne is seeking a Field Applications Scientist (FAS) based in Belgium to provide exceptional sales and customer support for our innovative protein analysis instrumentation. In this role, you will offer pre- and post-sales technical expertise, including assay development and support for various product lines. A strong background in immunoassays and protein analysis, along with hands-on experience and excellent customer support skills, is essential.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEmpower scientists by training on instrument use, assay development and data analysis for ProteinSimple’s instruments and software
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers in the assigned territory
Support sales efforts by helping to increase product usage through technical presentations and product demonstrations
Provide in-field product expertise to support complex technical sales discussions with both current and prospective customers
Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers to develop and execute short- and mid-term sales strategies to meet or exceed commercial sales goals
Provide ongoing support for customers both in-person and remotely
Serve as a key contributor of customer feedback to the Marketing and Product Development teams
Assist in the creation and review of technical literature, such as manuals and application notes.
Create and maintain customer support information in the database (Salesforce)
Required qualifications
Fluent in English and French; other European languages are a plus but not essential
BS/BA degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering, or a related life science field; MS/PhD preferred
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a life science field
Ability and willingness to travel across the Benelux area and Northern France as needed, with travel up to 80% (drivers’ licence essential).
Previous hands-on experience with immunoassays and protein characterization assays is required
Strong understanding of various protein analysis techniques, including capillary electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing, HPLC, Western blots, ELISAs, FACS, and particle characterization, is desired
Expertise in life science lab support
In-depth knowledge of current scientific literature, life science methods, and applications
Previous experience providing applications/technical support is preferred
Conscientious, articulate, and possesses excellent presentation and teaching skills
