Responsible for oversight of accurate and timely completion of assigned damage appraisals and the most economical means of repair or replacement, when necessary, helping establish Total Loss values and handling complaints. Triage and utilize multiple estimating channel options quickly and efficiently. Management of facilities in your assigned territory assuring that training, quality standards and customer service requirements are maintained. Reinspection of repaired vehicles and the assessment of repair costs. Accountabilities include properly assessing the indemnity and expense exposure, providing outstanding customer service, operating within a team environment, and continuous self-development. Also the flexibility to travel when required, to attend meetings and catastrophe duty
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide economical means of repair or replacement as needed while helping to establish total loss values and handling complaints
• Triage and utilize multiple estimating channel options quickly and efficiently
• Oversee the management of facilities in your assigned territory assuring that training quality standards and customer service requirements are maintained
• Provide re-inspection of repaired vehicles and the assessment of repair costs
• Properly assess the indemnity and expense exposures
• Provide outstanding customer service while operating within a team environment and maintaining a continuous focus on self-development
• Flexibility to travel when required to attend meetings and catastrophe duty. Remote position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be located in Central CT (South of Hartford, CT).
• Minimum of 2 years of prior damage estimating experience and Auto claim handling experience
• Experience/background working in a prior service industry is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers building
• Operate with integrity at all times to allow for trusted credible client interactions
• Self-motivated and able to keep on task with minimal direct supervision
• Must hold or be willing to acquire the applicable state's adjuster's license if required by the state
• Flexibility to travel as needed to attend meetings and catastrophe duty
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
