Field Clinical Specialist, TMTT, Structural Heart

Deliver clinical education and operational expertise by providing education and training support within a specific modality or product portfolio to clinical end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a lead on all aspects within the therapy including  imaging, integration and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, software, tools and products required for clinical use including but not limited to intraoperative case coverage and coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs in the Cath Lab.
• Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on all aspects of technical matters related to investigational products and procedures including imaging through conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs on two or more technologies or one highly specialized technology .
• Provide on-site, real-time guidance during clinical implants, including contingency planning to address unforeseen occurrences in support of assigned clinical investigations during complex clinical trial cases.
• Identify key components for a strategic plan of action and propose recommendations to sales reps and managers within respective territory .
• Document procedural case observations for learning and training updates.
• Collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback and recommend solutions on device iterations and new device development.
• Identify and train select hospital staff members to act as designated expert on EW products.
• Other incidental duties.

Education and Experience:

• Cardiac imaging (ECHO) background or ability to interpret ECHO.

• Bachelor's Degree in related field

• 7 years' experience of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience required

• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology

• Certification in RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) within ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or equivalent certification (e.g., Nursing (RN/BSN/MSN), Physician Assistant (PA-C), CV Sonography (RDCS/RDS), Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS/CVT/RTR/RCES/CST/RCES/CST))

Additional Skills:

• Good imaging analysis software skills (e.g. 3Mensio, TomTec, Vitrea, Circle VI, etc.)
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Ability to effectively guide and instruct other imaging specialists in clinical settings on effective imaging equipment operation
• Strong diplomacy, influencing and relationship management skills

• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work in a team environment, fostering collaboration between inter-departmental teams, HCPs and KOLs

• Substantial knowledge in cardiovascular science and valvular heart disease processes

• Substantial understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to EW medical products as it relates to the business

• Substantial knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to cardiovascular imaging

• Strict attention to detail

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

• Successful completion of Field Training Program and deemed certified in case management and 3 Mensio management and 150 cases as a primary FCS

• Must be Certified Field Trainer who has successfully mentored employees through the TMTT Field Training Program or "In-house Mentor" spending 3-5 days per quarter either with the Marketing team or Physician Sales Training team to collaborate on content ideas and marketing messaging

• Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on projects

• Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations while understanding implications of work and interdependencies with stakeholders

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
